Lancaster's BSc and BA degrees in Accounting and Finance have been recognised by the main Accounting professional bodies for exemption from certain professional examinations.  Graduates of the MSc in Accounting & Financial Management, the MSc in Finance and the Executive, MSc in Accounting & Financial Management (Macedonia) are eligible for automatic exemptions from professional examinations specifically with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from the 2007 graduating group onwards.  Exemptions available are at the Fundamentals Stage, and cover up to four or five of the total of 14 papers required by the ACCA.

Students interested in studying to become a Chartered Financial Analyst should note that the MSc in Accounting and Financial Management and MSc in Finance modules contribute widely to CFA study sessions at levels 1, 2 and 3.  Details of modules that relate to the CFA content are provided under the descriptions of each module on the program. In addition, a non-assessed module that is closely related to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, CFA Level 2 is available.  You can find our more information on this topic here, or you can write us at infoRo@bridge-study.org
